Crime is without doubt a major concern to the public. There are growing areas of our land where people are afraid to walk out at night. There are virtual ‘no-go’ areas in our country populated by anti-social gangs of hooligans where even the police fear to tread. The British Freedom Party, once elected to governance, will not tolerate this situation.
1. We shall return the power of prosecution back to the police. We will demand that the police act as the police instead of social workers in uniform or as the paramilitary enforcers of political correctness. We will dissolve the Crown Prosecution Service which has become a politically correct and politically motivated public body, controlled by governments and tasked with enforcing the credo of political correctness and liberalism.
2. Justice will be directed by the rights of the victim, not the rights of the criminal.
3. Crimes of violence will attract a lengthy custodial sentence.
4. Prisons will be stripped of expensive gymnasiums, televisions, personal computers, and cell phones. Incarceration will be designed to be a deterrent. Prisoners will work for their keep, either in prison if they are high risk inmates or outside on work projects where they will learn trades and skills if they are categorised as low risk. They will be tagged and supervised at all times on these projects. The money they earn from this work will be used to compensate their victims and support their families and children.
5. Offenders found to be illegal immigrants or asylum seekers will be immediately deported back to their place of origin.
6. Rape and paedophilia will be classed as serious crimes and those convicted can expect a very lengthy custodial sentence. Capital punishment will be restored as a sentencing option in cases of serial rape and serial paedophilia.
7. Theft will be dealt with by seizure of the thief’s assets to repay the victim.
8. Police will no longer be politically constrained. Any offence involving breach of the peace will be prosecuted no matter who commits the offence.
9. There will be only one law in Britain, British law. There will be no toleration of alternative law systems such as Sharia Law.
10. We shall repeal all the repressive laws introduced in the past thirty years which restrict free speech and enforce political correctness.
11. Criminals will have the right of trial by jury re-instated.
12. Magistrates will be vetted for political impartiality.
13. Judges will be given the option of the death penalty in first degree murder cases and terrorism cases if a panel of senior Law Lords decide that such a penalty is required in order to protect society.
